Due to the fact that coatings have various colors, it is customary to refer to coated steel plates as colored coated steel plates.
Coated steel plates have lightweight, aesthetic, and good anti-corrosion properties, and can be directly processed. They provide a new type of raw material for the construction industry, shipbuilding industry, vehicle manufacturing industry, furniture industry, electrical industry, and other industries, playing a good role in replacing wood with steel, efficient construction, energy conservation, and pollution prevention.
The color coated steel plate using galvanized steel plate as the substrate, in addition to zinc protection, the organic coating on the zinc layer plays a covering and isolation role, which can prevent the steel plate from rusting.
The service life of the coated steel plate is longer than that of galvanized steel plate, and the service life of the coated steel plate is 50% longer than that of galvanized steel plate. However, in different regions and usage areas, the service life of color coated panels with the same amount of zinc plating, same coating, and same coating thickness will vary greatly.
For example, in industrial areas or coastal areas, due to the action of sulfur dioxide gas or salt in the air, the corrosion rate accelerates and the service life is affected. During the rainy season, coatings that are soaked in rainwater for a long time or are prone to condensation in areas with large temperature differences between day and night will quickly corrode and have a reduced service life.
Buildings or factories made of colored coated steel plates often have a longer service life when washed by rainwater. Otherwise, their use may be affected by the effects of sulfur dioxide gas, salt, and dust.
Therefore, in design, if the inclination of the roof is greater, it is less likely to accumulate dust and other pollutants, and the service life is longer; For areas or parts that are not frequently washed by rainwater, regular water flushing should be carried out.
