Corrugated Sheet Panels Roof Tiles Structural Steel AS1397
Introduction:
The surface of the Galvalume / Aluzinc steel sheet showcases a unique smooth, flat, and attractive spangle pattern with a silver-white base color. This special coating structure provides exceptional corrosion resistance. The typical service life of Galvalume / Aluzinc Steel Sheet and Coils can extend up to 25 years. These sheets possess excellent heat resistance and can be utilized in high-temperature environments up to 315°C. The adhesion between the coating and the paint film is strong, allowing for good processing performance, including stamping, shearing, and welding. Additionally, the surface conductivity is highly efficient.
The coating comprises 55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc, and 1.5% silicon by weight. The production process for aluminum zinc steel sheet is similar to that of galvanized and aluminum plated steel sheets, involving a continuous melting coating process. The 55% aluminum zinc alloy-coated steel sheet exhibits superior corrosion resistance compared to galvanized steel sheets of the same thickness when exposed to the same environment on both sides. Furthermore, the 55% aluminum zinc alloy-coated steel (55% Alu-zinc Steel) sheet not only offers excellent corrosion resistance but also boasts superior adhesion and flexibility in color-coated products.
By utilizing Galvalume / Aluzinc steel sheets, industries can benefit from their long-lasting durability, heat resistance, and excellent processing capabilities, making them a valuable choice for various applications.
1. Strong Corrosion Resistance: This material provides three times the corrosion resistance of pure galvanising. It remains effective over long periods without changing color, even when exposed to the elements.
2. Aesthetic Appeal: The surface features attractive zinc patterns, making it suitable for use as exterior building panels, such as roofing.
3. Durability: Known as AZ150, aluminium-zinc steel plates have keels that do not change color on exposed surfaces. If exposed to chemical corrosion, a physical reaction on the surface forms an aluminium protective film. This film isolates the keel from chemical substances, preventing rust and protecting the material's integrity.
Protective Mechanism:
The corrosion resistance of aluminium-zinc steel is primarily due to the presence of aluminium. When the zinc layer wears away, aluminium forms a dense layer of aluminium oxide. This oxide layer prevents further corrosion by acting as a barrier, protecting the underlying material from corrosive elements.
Proven Longevity:
Aluminium-zinc plated alloy steel coils have been tested in various atmospheric environments for over 20 years. These tests confirm that aluminium-zinc plated steel provides significantly better edge protection compared to galvanised steel.
Thermal Reflectivity:
Aluminium-zinc plated mild steel boasts a high thermal reflectivity, which is twice that of galvanised mild steel. This makes it an excellent choice for thermal insulation applications.
