AZ120 Stone Coated Tiles Galvalume Steel Villa Roof
55% Aluzinc Steel Coil Roof Panels Commercial Steel Quality DX51D
Hot-dip aluminum-zinc coated steel plate is a pre-coated steel sheet created by hot-dip plating a layer of Al-Zn coating on both sides of a cold-rolled steel plate of varying strengths and thicknesses. The coating layer consists of 55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc, and 1.5% silicon by mass. This combination offers the physical protection and high durability of aluminum along with the electrochemical protection of zinc. The material retains the strength and plasticity of the base steel while providing excellent corrosion resistance from the coating. Additionally, the surface features a highly decorative bright silver-grey color with a regular embossed pattern.
- Aluzinc Steel Coil:
- Coating: Aluzinc steel coil is coated with an alloy composed of approximately 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon.
- Appearance: This composition gives Aluzinc steel a distinctive, spangled silver appearance.
- Properties: The aluminum in the coating provides enhanced barrier protection, while zinc offers sacrificial protection, combining the benefits of both metals.
- Galvanized Steel Coil:
- Coating: Galvanized steel coil is coated with pure zinc or a zinc alloy.
- Appearance: It typically has a shiny, spangled finish.
- Properties: The zinc coating primarily offers sacrificial protection, where the zinc layer corrodes before the steel substrate.
- Aluzinc Steel Coil:
- Superior Resistance: The aluminum content significantly improves the corrosion resistance, especially in environments exposed to high humidity or corrosive elements.
- Longevity: The combination of aluminum and zinc provides up to four times more corrosion resistance compared to galvanized steel.
- Galvanized Steel Coil:
- Moderate Resistance: While effective, galvanized steel generally offers lower corrosion resistance than Aluzinc, making it suitable for less demanding environments.
- Aluzinc Steel Coil:
- High Temperature Tolerance: Aluzinc steel can withstand higher temperatures, making it ideal for applications involving heat, such as roofing in hot climates.
- Galvanized Steel Coil:
- Lower Temperature Tolerance: The zinc coating can degrade at high temperatures, making it less suitable for high-heat applications.
- Aluzinc Steel Coil:
- Enhanced Aesthetics: The spangled silver appearance of Aluzinc steel is often preferred for architectural applications due to its modern look.
- Galvanized Steel Coil:
- Traditional Appearance: It has a more traditional, shiny appearance, which might be less desirable in certain aesthetic applications.
Marine and Coastal Areas
- Saltwater Exposure: Aluzinc steel's superior corrosion resistance makes it ideal for structures near the sea or in marine environments where salt spray and humidity are prevalent.
Industrial Environments
- Chemical Exposure: Industrial environments that release corrosive chemicals benefit from the enhanced protective qualities of Aluzinc steel, ensuring longer life and reduced maintenance.
High Humidity and Rainfall Areas
- Moisture Resistance: In regions with high humidity and frequent rainfall, Aluzinc steel offers better protection against rust and corrosion, making it suitable for roofing, cladding, and other exposed applications.
High Temperature Applications
- Heat Resistance: For applications involving high temperatures, such as industrial roofs or heat exchangers, Aluzinc steel maintains its structural integrity and appearance better than galvanized steel.
While both Aluzinc and galvanized steel coils have their unique advantages, Aluzinc steel coils excel in environments requiring superior corrosion and heat resistance. Their composition makes them ideal for demanding applications, ensuring durability, reduced maintenance, and aesthetic appeal. Galvanized steel coils, on the other hand, are suitable for less demanding environments where cost efficiency and traditional appearance are prioritized.
SURFACE TREATMENT | DESCRIPTION OF USE |
CHROMATE PASSIVATION(C) | Surface treatment for high-strength steel plates after hot-dip plating to reduce white rust during transport and storage |
Chrome-free passivation(C5) | Surface treatments that require limiting the amount of hexavalent chromium, etc. in passivation solutions that are harmful to the environment and humans |
Anti-finger print(N) | Surface treatment after the passivation process, which acts as a lubricant during processing, prevents fingerprints from staining during operation, and prevents premature blackening of the surface during use. |
Chrome-free and fingerprint resistant(N5) | Surface treatment after the passivation process, in the process of lubrication, to prevent the operation of the fingerprint staining, to prevent the use of the surface of the process of premature blackening, and at the same time, the requirement to limit the fingerprint-resistant film harmful to the environment and human body, such as hexavalent chromium content |
Oiled(O) | Surface treatment added after the passivation process to further reduce rusting during long-distance transport and long-term storage |
